The Scene Magazine Review of With Eyes Closed
"(With Eyes Closed) contains four covers and one original. Total time is almost 31 and one half minutes. This CD was recorded at a live performance.
There are no studio fixes. Nallia does every song with soul, inspiration and a surperb feel for the music. This is mood music; there are no rockers.
Best song on the CD is the original "Skip's Blues." That song embodies the soul of the blues from St. Louis to New Orleans. A close second is
Nallia's jazzy and soulful performance of "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy." If you like piano artistry, this CD is a must have. Highest recommendation."

Pacific Coast Jazz Magazine Review of Horace Alexander Young's Acoustic Contemporary Jazz
"Multi-insturmentalist Horace Alexander Young has brought together a group of all-stars to put together a diverse and satisfying release -
nicely titled Acoustic Contemporary Jazz - that will satisfy any fans of the pop/jazz genre. Including Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra trombonist
Andre Hayward, guitarist Dwight Sills, and Tower of Power vocalist Brent Carter, Young has music that ranges from blues to urban hip-hop.
His rich and palpable tenor saxophone is a perfect match for Luther Vandross' classic 'Dance with My Father.' Young also tackles famed
South African jazz composer / pianist Abdullah Ibrahim's (formerly known as Dollar Brand) "Joan-Capetown Flower," with a wailing Hammond B3
(performed by Skip Nallia) leading into a beautiful long toned ballad, supported by some flexible bass work. The majority of the songs are composed
by either Young or co-producer Travis Milner, and range from the urban gritty tenor of 'Let's Lounge' to the flute imbused Latin lilt of
"One of a Kind." Acoustic Contemporary Jazz essentially closes with and embracing, spacious and vulnerable piano duet on the ballad 'Danny Boy.'
There is lots of joyful music on this wide ranging recording.

A Review of "The Revelators Band"
"The Revelators Band is about to bust on the scene. Top dog players all.
Skip Nallia, keyboards; Mike Reed, saxaphones; Steve Hitt, guitars; Jerry Chambers, drums;
Dan "The Man" Smith, bass... Nallia, Hitt and Smith will do lead vocals. Their repore will include
Funk, R&B, Soul, Motown and Blues covers plus original songs.
These guys tell me they're stoked, I mean, ready to get it on. And I'm ready to hear'em."
